It has been a while since I posted my last entry in this blog. To all my followers, sorry for making you all wait. Since I launched “Green Book for Doctors” last June 12, 2018, I have been very busy. I have had 3 major talks since then and I would like to share with you what transpired from those talks.
SERIES OF FINANCIAL TALKS FOR DOCTORS
1. VRP Medical Center Financial Health 101 for Medical Interns
This happened last June 13, 2018, in VRP Medical Center, where I talked to Medical Interns/Post Graduate Interns on the importance of Financial Health and planning early even if they are still interns. I was invited by Dr. Michael Rico Mesina, a successful radiologist consultant and the head of the VRP Training department for medical interns.
It’s an honor to be invited and be surrounded again by young people, making me feel young too. VRP PGIs are a great audience because they participate very well and very cooperative.
2 . Bohol Medical Society
In BMS 7th Post Graduate course, this happened last July 15, 2018 where I was tasked to talk about: Financial health for doctors and Estate Planning. I was invited by a school mate from PLM-College of Medicine, Dr. Benjamin Dalit who is a member of the Bohol Medical Society and also a successful in his practice in Bohol as an Anaesthesiologist.
I would like to thank Dr. Marivic Domingo-Nazareno, President of Bohol Medical Society and all the members of the Bohol Medical Society for your warm welcome and patronage of my book. All the books I brought to Bohol were all sold out. Thank you too to Ms. Phoebe Villarojo Puti-an, for all the help and of course to MyFinanceMD Team too. Bohol is such a beautiful place with such nice people, we will surely be back.
3. Project Empower the Healer (PETH 2)
And finally, the last but not the least, the (Project: Empower the Healer 2) PETH2, headed by Dr. Ryan Arbie Gusilatar, the founder of PETH. PETH was first done last 2016 and because of its resounding success, we brought it back again. We have invited speakers from BIR, Taxumo, Pag-IBIG, Philhealth, Forex, Stocks Trading and of course, yours truly as the speaker for Financial Health and Estate Planning 101 for doctors. It was a whole day of pure learning and #adulting for doctors. As gratitude for the success of the first PETH, we gave away 20 Green Books for Doctors that day. Congratulations to all the winners.
GREEN BOOK FOR DOCTORS
After one month from the launch, GREEN BOOK FOR DOCTORS have been accepted very warmly, all I can say is: “Thank you to everyone who supported my first published book.” I say it’s a very successful launch and positive feedbacks kept coming in. Thank you so much dear colleagues.
PINKY PROMISE INITIATIVE
If you look at all my posts, you might notice that we do a particular pose that each of you might be very familiar with – “The Pinky Swear/Pinky Promise sign.” If you might be wondering what it is, then let me explain a little.
Pinky Promise Initiative is an initiative of MyFinanceMD and Green Book for Doctors to give back to the society and the community.
