Rich Dad’s Advice (Robert Kiyosaki)
When I told my rich dad that I had decided to follow in his footsteps and enter the world of business, he did not encourage me to go back to school. Instead, he said, “If you want to enter the world of business, you must first learn how to sell.”
“Learn to sell?” I spoke. “But I want to be an entrepreneur. I want to be like you. I want to own large businesses and have lots of people working for me. I want to invest in real estate and own land and large buildings. I don’t want to be a salesman.”
Rich dad just laughed at my naïveté.
“Why are you laughing?” I asked. “What does selling have to do with building businesses, managing people, raising money, and investing?”
Again, rich dad just laughed and said, “Everything.”
If you don’t think you don’t need the skill of selling in your life, you’re wrong. You sell yourself every day.
Even if you are a doctor, you sell yourself to your patients, colleagues, and everyone you meet every day.
How?
You sell your advice. (So, patients will follow your advice)
You sell your credentials. (So, they will believe you)
You sell your authority. (So, they will have confidence in you)
Learn the skill of selling and look at how it can exponentially grow your career, and with that skill, you can also build your passive income stream, so there will come a time when you don’t need to work anymore. That’s Financial Freedom!
